The id, ego, and superego represent each person’s internal struggle. The id drives primal urges, the superego imposes moral standards, and the ego works to balance the two. This tension between desire, morality, and reality defines the human condition, but it is never fixed. As we move through life, these forces shift, shaping who we become. My line, Balance, explores how we exist within this tension.

Each piece reflects this interplay through contrast. The id appears in exaggerated silhouettes, layered textures, and raw materials that feel instinctive and uncontrolled. The superego is expressed through structure, minimalism, and sharp tailoring that reflect discipline and expectation. The ego exists in between, blending chaos and order through asymmetry and mixed materials.
